Tips for making great flavored butters

1. Use real butter.
2. Butter should be room temperature before blending. Do not melt (melting changes the texture and quality of a flavored butter).
3. Finely chop or mince added ingredients for greater "spread-ability."
4. Make the day before to blend flavors (if you can wait that long).
5. Store covered in the refrigerator.
6. Chill well to pre-slice.
7. Refrigerate for up to 5 days, or freeze. Butter compounds spoil quicker than regular butter.
8. For best flavor, set butter out at room temperature at least 30 minutes before serving.
