Eating Patterns and Diabetes Prevention: Recommendations, Research, & Real World

Cara Shrager, MPH, RDN, LDN, CDE and Joanna Mitri, MD, MS from the Joslin Diabetes Center will be joining us to discuss:

• Food patterns associated with reduced risk of type 2 diabetes (T2DM)
• Food groups associated with increased risk of T2DM
• Functions of dairy foods and mechanisms for health benefits
• Recommendations from Joslin and ADA regarding eating patterns and diabetes prevention

Joslin is an independent, non-profit institution affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and one of only 11 NIH-designated Diabetes Research Centers in the U.S. You don’t want to miss this chance to hear from Cara and Joanna in person!
