What good is a camping treat without s'mores to finish off the evening? S’More Cake is inspired by every camper that has put a marshmallow on a stick. This rich dessert is full of marshmallows, angel food cake, and chocolate! Yummy!!!
Yields: 6-8 Servings
1 Angel Food Cake
6-8 chocolate bars (1 ½-oz each)
4 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup heavy cream, whipped
Cut angel food cake into 3 layers. Place bottom layer on large piece of heavy foil. Break chocolate bar into pieces and place ⅓ on the layer of cake, Sprinkle with ⅓ the marshmallows. Repeat, creating 3 layers ending with marshmallows on top.
Fold foil up around sides of cake and place on a baking sheet in 400 degree pre-heated oven until chocolate and marshmallows are melted. Or place wrapped cake on a trivet in dutch oven, place dutch oven over hot coals with coals on the lid, heat until chocolate and marshmallows are melted. Serve with dollop of whipped cream.
