Sand Art Brownies make a delightful gift from your kitchen and can be an exciting activity to make with your kids. This jar of attractively layered ingredients produces a yummy batch of fudge brownies that is chuck full of white chocolate chips, semi sweet chocolate chips, and pecans. You may even want to make a batch for yourself! Recipe fills one quart jar with mix and will make one 9-inch pan of brownies.

2/3 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup flour, plus 2 tablespoons

1/3 cup cocoa

1/2 cup flour

2/3 cup brown sugar

2/3 cup sugar

1/2 cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped pecans* (optional)

In a wide mouth quart jar, layer ingredients in the order listed. Tamp ingredients down in jar. Pecans are last - add enough to finish filling the jar. If choosing to omit pecans add extra chocolate chips. Place lid and ring on jar, decorate with ribbons. Attach a tag with the following instructions:

Preheat oven to 350º F. Butter sides and bottom of 9x9 baking pan.

Combine contents of the jar with 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 cup melted butter, and 3 eggs; mix. Spread in prepared pan; bake 30-35 minutes. Cut into 16 pieces, enjoy warm with a cold glass of milk.
