Reese’s Peanut Butter Sugar Cookies

From our leader Jenn Harrison comes this classic cookie. About them, she says, "My favorite cookie is nothing fancy or original, but a sugar cookie with a mini Reese's peanut butter cup in the middle...they are delicious!"

Note:For a taller cookie, place balls of dough in mini muffin tin cups. Press peanut butter cup in top of each ball. Bake as directed below. Cool and carefully remove from muffin tins.

Day 3 of our 12-Days of Christmas Cookies

  • Yields: 40 cookies


40 mini Reese's Peanut Butter cups

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

1 egg

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 3/4 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda


Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Unwrap peanut butter cups and set aside.

Beat together butter, peanut butter and sugars until smooth and creamy. Beat in egg, vanilla and milk.

Whisk together flour, salt, and soda. Stir flour mixture until butter and sugar, mix well.

Shape into 40 balls. Press a peanut butter cup into each ball and place on baking sheet. Bake 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool.
