An easy recipe tailored to your taste buds. These tasty little pockets are stuffed with all your favorite toppings and are sure to please the whole family. Fill your pita up with marina, toppings, and don't forget lots of cheese!
Yields: 8 Pita Pizza's
1 pkg Pita bread
1 can pizza sauce
1 bag shredded mozzarella cheese
1 pkg sliced pepperoni
Additional Toppings: pineapple, ham, spinach, peppers, sausage, onions, etc.
Take your pita and spoon in the pizza sauce, spread around the inside. Stuff the pita with your choice of toppings and cheese.
Double wrap the pita in tinfoil. Be careful to keep the cut side up so all of your fillings don't fall out. If possible try to shape the foil so the pita stands up when cooking. If you are cooking it in the campfire, place the pita around the edges and cook for about 10-15 minutes (don't put directly in the flames). If cooking on a grill place place the pita's inside and cook for about 5-10 minutes depending on the grills temperature. The pita is done when the cheese is melted.
