Homemade Hot Chocolate

As the temperatures begin to drop, nothing is better than sipping on some warm hot chocolate. This hot chocolate takes no time at all to prepare and has that delicious homemade taste you cannot get from a packet or can. With just a hint of spice, you'll be coming back for more.

  • Yields: 4 Servings


1/4 cup Dutch cocoa powder

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

1/4 tsp ground mace

1 cup water

1-1/4 cups whole milk

1-1/2 cups water


Mix cocoa, sugar, cinnamon, mace, and 1 cup of water in a saucepan; heat until dissolved.

Add milk and additional water, stir to combine and warm through. Serve hot.
