Not your average hamburger! These loaded burgers are packed with bacon, blue cheese, cream cheese, and flavor for a melt in your mouth tasty experience! Great served with Herb Grilled Corn hot off the barbecue!
Yields: 4 servings
Blue Stuffed Burger:
1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
½ teaspoon garlic salt
¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
4 Burger Buns
Burger toppings of choice - lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard, etc.
2 oz cream cheese, softened
¼ cup crumbled blue cheese
1 tablespoon thin sliced green onion, optional
¼ crumbled cooked bacon
Herb Grilled Corn:
4 ears fresh corn
2-3 tablespoons Bacon Herb Butter (see below)
salt and pepper to taste
Bacon Herb Butter
1 cup softened butter
1 Tablespoon minced parsley
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup finely chopped bacon
¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Blue Stuffed Burgers
Mix ground beef with garlic salt and pepper (or seasonings of your choice). Divide beef into 8 equal portions. On wax paper, or plastic wrap, use a fork to flatten and shape each portion into thin 5-inch round patties.
Mix together cream cheese, blue cheese, onion and bacon. Place filling in center of 4 patties; top each patty with second beef patty. Using tines of fork, seal edges of burger. Grill on hot grill 3-4 minutes, flip and grill opposite side until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees (approximately 4-5 minutes longer). Serve with condiments and toppings of your choice - enjoy!
Herb Grilled Corn
Peel corn husk back from ear and remove silk; Combine all of the Bacon Herb Butter ingredients together and spread 1-2 Tablespoons on each ear of corn with Bacon Herb Butter. Bring husks back over ear and wrap each ear in foil (may remove husk entirely and wrap corn in foil). Place corn on medium hot grill, cook, turning occasionally for 15-20 minutes
