PRESS RELEASES

Dairy Products Commission Chair Honored by IHSAA

As the Girls Dairy Shoot Out began at the Idaho Center in Nampa, the Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA) took time to honor United Dairymen of Idaho co-chair, Tom Dorsey with their first-ever State Award for Outstanding Service.

Dorsey, a fourth-generation dairyman from Caldwell, has attended state basketball tournaments for over a decade, and the United Dairymen of Idaho (UDI) has been a sponsor of IHSAA state tournaments for over 20 years.

“No one is more deserving of this honor,” said Karianne Fallow, CEO of the United Dairymen of Idaho. “Tom has a deep commitment to the educators and students in Idaho, as well as to his industry.” She added.

Dorsey is active in his community, the state of Idaho, as well as in the dairy industry at the national level. The United Dairy Industry Association’s board of directors elected Tom Dorsey, First Vice Chair at the national dairy industry’s recent annual meeting in Grapevine, Texas. The group is a federation of state and regional dairy farmer-funded promotion organizations that provide marketing programs that are developed and implemented in coordination with its members.

Dorsey is one of four dairy farmers elected by their peers annually to represent Idaho on the group’s board of directors. Dorsey also serves as chair on the Idaho Dairy Products Commission board of directors.
